Product Description

Contemporary clay hibachi from the Late Showa period (1940's-present).  The hibachi is a traditional Japanese heating device consisting of a round, cylindrical or a box-shaped open-topped container, made from or lined with a heatproof material and designed to hold burning charcoal.  Can be used as a handwarmer. Beautiful Japanese characters inscribed on the exterior with simple round shape and deep rich color of clay.  Would work wonderfully as a vase for displaying flowers.
