Product Description

This superb Jubako or food container with gorgeous motifs dates to the Late Edo period (1780's-1860's). Surely, the craftsman made this piece so attractive with lacquered finish and his artistic embellishments. Jubako often comes with two to five boxes in piles, used as food containers for picnic and even for hunting trips. This piece comes with five boxes in pile, two lids, and an original box, in excellent condition. Great for a display of curios.
