Wonderful Okinawa style vermillion lacquer jubako set.  http://japanartsandcrafts.com/ryukyunuri.html.  This set features finely rendered chrysanthemum flowers, five different varieties in all.  All in realistic detail and comfortably couched among intertwining foliage.  Here gold predominates and set a New Years’ holiday mood of festivity.  This set is in excellent condition, except in some areas around the centers of the flowers.
