Product Description

This Japanese antique chest is from the Late Meiji period (1890's-1910's). The wood used in this tansu is Kiri (Paulownia). The Ko Tansu is a very versatile chest. In Japan it had many different uses depending on style, design, or wood type. This chest can add charm and functionality to any area of the house.
