Product Description

This unique chest is from the Late Showa period (1940's-present). This beautiful piece is made completely of Kiri (Paulownia). Kiri wood is very light, fine-grained, soft, warp-resistant and has a high ignition point, which makes it ideal for clothing chests. The Ko dansu is a very versatile chest. In Japan it had many different uses depending on style, design, or wood type. In a small hallway, this chest can add interest and storage without taking up any needed room.
