Product Description

This is a traditional Japanese shoe chest called Geta Bako. It was constructed using Cypress (Hinoki),Cryptomeria (Sugi) woods.

These chests would be found at the house entrance called Genkan where guests and residents would take off their shoes to store them before entering a home.
