Product Description

This is a 2 section kitchen chest called Mizuya Tansu that comes from the Kansai region of Japan.  It was constructed using Cypress (Hinoki), Zelkova (Keyaki), and Cryptomeria (Suginoki) woods.  Originally kept in an old Japanese farm home, it was used to store dishes, pots of water, and eating utensils.

It would make a great statement in any room of the house as well as functionality as a storage unit.
