Product Description

This is an antique Japanese 2 section lacquer Isho Tansu. The tansu front was finished in a natural Urushi lacquer to reveal the beautiful wood grain and beautiful lock plate with a Kamon, family crest. The tansu case was finished in a wiped lacquer technique.  Originally used for kimono storage, it would make a great contemporary dresser or linen cabinet.

Each section can be used separately for versatility or stacked together to save space.  Each section has carrying handles to easily move from place to place.
