Product Description

This is a Japanese unusual Okidoko. It is an early type of removable alcove formed by placing a simple long low storage chest in the corner of a room and hanging a scroll of calligraphy above it on the wall. A flower arranged in an Ikebana vase was also often added.

It was constructed of Zelkova (Keyaki Plywood) wood.
