Product Description

This is a vintage Japanese lacquered Haisen, bowls to wash sake cups. The title written on the box is Akikusa, autumn plans. They are decorations with beautiful flower Makie painting.

Lacquered in natural Urushi, this formal elegant work of art was used for special auspicious occasions as compared to the Haisen used for casual gatherings that were made of ceramic, pottery and porcelain.

Decorated with autumn flowers as its main theme, the interior sides show butterflies. 

It comes in an original wooden box.
