Product Description

This is an antique pair of Japanese 6 panel screens called Byobu which are folding screens decorated in calligraphy or hand painted designs.  This set displays bold hand calligraphic writing that was likely created by a Shodo master monk.  The 2 panels on each end are 23.5 " wide while the 4 panels in the middle are 22.675 " wide.
