The hibachi is a traditional Japanese heating device. It consists of a round, cylindrical or a box-shaped open-topped container, made from or lined with a heatproof material and designed to hold burning charcoal.  In western culture, however, "hibachi" often refers to small cooking grills typically made of aluminum or cast iron.  Hibachi can be used as a heat warmer, bbq grill, or for storage.
